1. Who we are
Parliva is operated by Isle de France Atelier, an Ontario sole proprietorship, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). Parliva is a brand of Isle de France Atelier, not a separate company. By creating an account or using Parliva, you agree to these Terms.
2. The service
Parliva is an online educational service for practising French. It includes an AI text tutor, AI voice practice, original TCF Canada-style and TEF Canada-style exercises, an AI placement assessment, progress tracking, a mistake log and vocabulary review. Parliva is an independent French-language exam preparation platform operated by Isle de France Atelier. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by IRCC, the Government of Canada, France Éducation international, Le français des affaires (CCI Paris Île-de-France), or any other organization that administers TCF Canada or TEF Canada. TCF-style and TEF-style exercises are original, AI-generated practice materials, not official examination content. Parliva does not provide immigration advice.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory, or use the service with a parent or guardian's permission. Provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and don't share your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. AI-generated content
Tutor replies, corrections, exercises, assessments and spoken replies are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors. Estimated CEFR and NCLC levels are approximations, not official results or certification. Practice scores are not official TCF Canada or TEF Canada results. Parliva does not currently score pronunciation.
5. Voice practice
Voice practice records your speech in your browser, converts it to text, generates a reply and reads it aloud with a synthetic AI voice. Voice minutes are counted from the length of your recording plus an allowance for the reply.
6. No guarantees, no immigration advice
Parliva helps you practice French and prepare for TCF-style tasks. It does not guarantee test results or immigration outcomes. We do not guarantee any exam score, NCLC level, permanent residence, citizenship or other immigration result. Nothing in Parliva is legal or immigration advice; consult official Government of Canada sources or a licensed immigration professional for those matters.
7. Plans and pricing
We offer a Free plan and paid monthly plans (Starter $9.99, Pro $19.99 and Premium $39.99, in Canadian dollars). Each plan's monthly AI text and voice allowances are shown on the Pricing page and before purchase. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Allowances reset each billing period and do not roll over.
8. Billing and renewal
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until you cancel. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change before it applies to your next renewal.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for. Payments already made are not refunded, except where required by applicable law or in the cases described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
10. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We apply rate limits and usage limits to keep the service fair and available.
11. Your content
You keep ownership of the text and audio you submit. You give us a limited licence to process it, including through our service providers, only to provide and improve Parliva.
12. Our content
The Parliva software, brand and original content belong to Isle de France Atelier. You may use them only for your personal learning.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. You may delete your account at any time from your account page.
14. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features; if a change materially reduces a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without limiting any consumer protection rights you have where you live.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with its update date and notify you of material changes by email or in the app.
